Built in 1961 at the Boel shipyard in Temse (B), oceanographic research vessel until 1970, since then used as a training and public relations vessel of the Belgian Navy, named to honor Zenobe Gramme, the inventor of the dynamo.
The patronage was accepted by the Brussels Royal Yachting Club (BRYC) l since 1961.
